Weakley County Government
Weakley County Government is a proud member of the Weakley Chamber and is led by County Mayor Dale Hutcherson, the County Commission, many elected and appointed officials, and many office deputies and staff. The County Mayor serves as the county’s chief executive, overseeing fiscal management, executive functions, and appointments to boards and commissions as authorized. The mayor participates in county legislative meetings, serves on the financial management committee, and represents the county on various multi-county boards and committees.
The Weakley County Commission, the county’s legislative body, is composed of two commissioners from each of the county’s nine districts. The commission develops policies, approves budgets, and works with the mayor to guide county operations and services. Together, the County Mayor and Commission provide leadership, accountability, and public service for the citizens of Weakley County.
